Wadi Lahsa-Musaibat Village-Hidden Oasis Loop Hike..

Shan of UAE weekend lovers had led us on a hike that connected the Hidden Oasis with Musaibat village, the link on a mountain surface with no laid trail.

We had also hiked from Hidden Oasis to the Shah peak and Musaibat village via a Wadi path that was bit challenging at few places. That trail is not much used due to the difficulties encountered.

While hiking the HL22, I saw a well laid trail in the area on the Musaibat side towards the Hidden Oasis, but as our plan was different we could not explore the section.

We decided today to check out the trail and attempted the hike.

All of this hike is on a well marked / laid and visible trail. This is a loop hike.
Thank you RAK authorities !!

We parked here and started our hike.

Hike starts from Jebel Jais road route at Wadi Lahsa village, leftwards after VIA Ferrata / Bear Grylls Camp. The trailhead is marked as Wadi Lahsa on Google Maps.

This trail is also the starting point and initial section of Highlander 2022 hike. The whole ascent path till the Wadi Shah summit peak is well laid, maintained and visible.
You simply cant get lost.

We started from Wadi Lahsa towards the mountain via a Wadi close to a functional village of Lahsa.

The trail takes you within the Wadi and gradually gains elevation.
Soon the trail divides and turns leftwards to the mountain surface till you reach a small plateau and viewpoint of Jais road.

Then we further proceeded on the Mountain, then after a long Ascent on the Mountain, we reached the abandoned village of named Qurooh. There are some nice fields which also can be used for camping in cooler times.

From this village the trail further leads and soon you will reach 1st diversion.
The LEFT path takes you down towards Hidden Oasis and also to other villages of 7 villages hiking trail, its a well laid trail.
The RIGHT path takes you up towards Musaibat village, Highlander 2022 and Wadi shah summit of 1100 meters.

You continue RIGHTwards and soon you will reach a stairs section that immediately takes you higher to northern end Musaibat village.

You still continue on the trail, and again you reach 2nd diversion.
Here the LEFT path takes you to the 7 villages hiking trail.
The Right path takes you further up towards Wadi shah Peak and the Highlander 2022 trail.

We reached Musaibat village and took a break.
The village has many nice stone houses and rain water retention tanks.
You can take a break in one of the houses of the farmhands, they are friendly. They may offer you tea, but please remember to tip them generously if they serve you tea etc.

We did not hike towards the Wadi Shah peak.
Please be attentive to this trail recording for the directions.
There is a connection to descend towards Hidden Oasis, which is clearly visible.

From here if you continue further down towards a farm and then further down towards Hidden Oasis, by now the Hidden Oasis is clearly visible.

Soon the path will lead you to the Hidden Oasis via a long balcony with great views below and also few abandoned villages and Jebel jais in general.

Once down at Hidden Oasis, we hiked back to our cars via a well established, laid and visible trail of Hidden Oasis – wadi Shah which has been recorded and described many time son other posts.

I would say, simply follow the trail.

This is definitely a moderate trail due to terrain and challenges.

Due care, dedication, proper planning, choosing to hike at cooler times, choosing right companions, correct time management, Hydration/nourishment plan, hiking the right trail depending on various factors bring success in summer hikes.
