Wadi Ghail to Bahar Plateau Summit: Ras al Khaimah.

Wadi Ghail to Bahar Plateau Summit: Ras al Khaimah.
This trail can be shortened as per situation by only hiking toll Ghail village, somewhere at the midpoint for short hike or summer hike.
We hiked this trail to summit of Bahar plateau which basically stands above Wadi Qada’ah on a vertical wall well before the Bahar village of Musandam Oman.
You will need a proper 4X4 to reach the trailhead or you can park AWD about 1 Km before and add the hiking distance.
Please note Sedan cars will struggle to reach the connection of Wadi Ghail with Wadi Qadaah.

We started the hike from Wadi Ghail (the tributary of Wadi Qadaah ) in Ras al Khaimah and hiked till the Ghail village on a visible trail with some markers and cairns.
From Ghail village, we continued to the new trail (since 2022 ) that connects Ghail village with Hebs villages and Wadi Bih.
At the top of Wadi Qadaah, the trail gets divided.
The left one goes to Hebs and the right one goes to Bahar plateau.
We soon reached Bahar plateau, we traversed little to find the 2 Oman-UAE border markers installed there.
From the summit, you can clearly see Jebel Bahar, Jebel Tafif, Jebel Yanas, Jebel Qada’ah, Wadi Qada’ah, the Leopard canyon hike trail sections, Hanging garden, Qada’ah village and Sal offroad.
The views are impressive from here.
We took the same way back to our start point by retracing our path back.
