We started this summer hike from Lahsa area (same starting point of Hidden oasis trail, but in opposite direction)
We started initially on the asphalted road, and then we connected to the steel ladder link trail to the Jebel Jais lower hike Samar trail.
Once we connected to the Samar trail, we immediately turned right to hike up towards Nayt village (which also serves as the summit of Samar hike ).
Once at Nayt village, we continued to Wassab village using the 2 years old new trail that goes steep higher into the mountain fact via many stairs that have been built to make the hike safe.
Once at the wassab plateau, we took a well deserved long break to view the impressive sunrise over the mountains of Musandam.
Later on we followed the trail all the way to Wassab village and further to the Jebel Jais road parking 3.
This whole hike is on a well made visible trail.

Overall this is a very safe trail that can be hiked by beginners during cooler times with many breaks. You are always in the phone network and very much closer to the civilisation.
The views of Jais mountains and the coastal RAK is very scenic.
Take care and hike safe.
Take all needed supplies as there is no support on the mountain.
