Rainbow Oasis: Shiha Gaidh Village Loop: Ras al Khaimah.
We hiked this cute short & sweet trail in Ras al Khaimah on Jebel Jais road.
As this unnamed Oasis is not much known to the public yet, our group members decided to name it Rainbow Oasis.

This trail can be hiked as a short hiking activity that includes minor bouldering, little scrambling, great views, stairs, trail and serenity that leads to a green (seasonal) farmland in the middle of the rugged mountains.
In spite of short distance and less elevation gains, this hike has its own little challenges and not suitable for fresh beginners as the path is very uneven, through loose rocks, boulders, sharp stones and more than half of this hike is without a established path.
Good sole hiking boots ( preferably ankle high due to uneven surfaces ) and hand gloves will be beneficial at places along with hiking poles will assist on the way back.
The start of the trailhead is very next to Jais road, about 2 Kms before the Wadi Shah / Bear Grylls.

There is a small exit on the right side sloping down into the Wadi, where you can park few cars.
Please don’t block the road.
Initially you walk through the embankment constructed as water breakers in the Wadi and soon you will see the steep rockfall area in the right along with a dry waterfall.
There is a faintly visible path through the loose rocks area that will lead you up via zigzag route.
Soon you will find a much stable and manmade rocky staircase that will lead you all the way to the Shiha Gaidh village.
This village has some goats and birds being raised. You may find few farmhands here.
Most of the village is a fenced property, you will have to cross through the first farm through the gate, please remember to close the gates behind you.
Once outside the fence, the path leads you through some rough terrain towards the hidden Oasis which is about an acre in surface area.
There are lots of trees and vegetation.
Please be careful and be cautious about any reptiles etc as there is a good food chain present in the area. We saw lots of flowers, bees and butterflies.
We returned back the same way back, although there are other options of exploration of difficult grade due to the mountain terrain and absence of any trail.
