We hiked to this ancient village of Tallah from the heights of Yibir mountain which is also known as Mebrah.

In the past I have hiked to Talah from Wadi Naqab via Baqal village trail.

Please note, there is no phone network at this mountain until you reach the Tallah village, so please download this map before you go there.

This time, we started our hike from the heights and it was more of a social hike.

To access this area, first you need to drive to Wadi Taween village over a newly constructed asphalted road, which is steeply inclined at places.
A 4X4 with hill climb is most suited for this section as any other cars engines will suffer during ascent and the brakes will heat up on descent.
Please make sure you choose the correct vehicle for this drive.

There is a mountain guards unit stationed at the plateau who will take your car and passenger details and the entry is granted upon their approval only.
There is a military installation nearby, and you are not allowed to roam around in that area, so please stay in the allowed area only.
The whole place is under surveillance.

The starting point is on an offroad at the Yibir / Mebrah plateau.
First you will have to drive on an asphalted road till here.

From this intersection drive left on a clearly visible offroad for about 1.6 Kms and you can see a narrow branch of an offroad in the left side.

You can park close to this junction without blocking the road.

From here, we walked on the narrow offroad (restricted with a barrier gate / not allowed to drive ) for 2 Kms to connect to the actual hiking trail that takes you all the way to Tallah. The trail is very visible and safe.

Tallah village has many houses and functional with some caretakers for the houses and livestock.
We also visited the village cemetery.

We explored the village and returned back the same way to our starting point.
Please do not enter any closed / locked private properties.
Overall this is a social hiking experience with less statistics for the hike.

Please go well prepared and do not disturb the village ambience.

As we reached heights, the weather changed immensely for the better and at the top village the weather was around 22 deg Centigrade.
We took a long break at the summit, had a good Nap and had a nice Tea with the Farm hands of the Village.

We returned back after the Sunrise, one of the best Views.
On our way back, we collected as much Trash ( water bottles and Cans ) that we could gather and carry.
It was heartening to see Hikers without common sense throwing away the Trash on the mountain instead of disposing them off in a proper manner.

When Hiking in the Night, best advantage is lower temperatures, less heat and bearable weather.

But the group should be small and led by an experienced Hiker who knows the area and who managed the Safety aspects. Lights, Water, food, Electrolytes and other important topics should be considered and followed strictly.
